Both single and double head auger type powder filling systems are designed to maximize production output and are able to fill varying containers ranging from 5 -200 grams. Auger Powder Fillers incorporate sensors to prevent powder filling when the container is not there. The single auger type has a throughput of 20 – 40 bottles per minute while the double head fills 30-80 bottles per minute.

The operation process of Auger Powder Filling Machine ensures great accuracy and wastage free filling. Dry sterile bottles are fed to the system using a conveyor belt. Auger Powder Filler then move to the feed turn table. Upon reaching the filling section, they are clamped and magnetic clutch rotates the auger so as to release a predetermined quantity.

The working Principle of Auger Type Powder Filling Machine

Auger Type Powder Filling Machine is a device to fill the right amount of product into a container. The name Auger derives from an auger screw which the machine uses for filling containers with liquid, semi-solid, powdery, and granular materials. Moving on to the principle of how an Auger Powder filling machine works, the whole set up is based on the fundamental of Positive Displacement screw operating under a constant head which displaces the product through a funnel into the container. The augur metering system or the auger powder filler has four parts:-

• Drive motor – This controls the speed and revolution of the auger.
• Hopper- This holds the product to be filled.
• Blender- This homogenizes the powder.
• Auger- This rotates vertically into the hopper to feed the product through the funnel.
• Auger Funnel (Tube) – This holds the final product and is an outlet through which augur doses.
